Job Opportunity: Community Development Officer

Mainland Football is seeking to appoint a passionate, motivated, and knowledgeable Federation Community Development Officer responsible to lead the development of and increase the quality of experiences within community football across the region.

The role will have a primary focus on social/lifestyle development opportunities and use football as a vehicle to develop stronger communities.

This is a full-time position that will require the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

The preferred applicant should possess:

  • A minimum of an OFC/NZF ‘C’ Coaching Licence or International Equivalent
  • Preferably a Sports Development or Management degree or experience
  • At least 3 years experience in Community Development
  • A genuine passion for the development of community football and the effect it has in building stronger communities.
  • Excellent knowledge of football and the club structures in the Mainland region and across New Zealand
  • A strong understanding of the concept of lifestyle football and its importance in the modern era
