NZ Football in conjunction with Mainland Football are excited to announce Girls and Women's Football Month in March!
This is a nationwide campaign to celebrate and grow the involvement of women and girls in football. This is an awesome opportunity for your club to showcase its support for girls'and women’s football, attract new members, and celebrate the contributions of your amazing players, coaches, referees, and volunteers.

Milo Fantails Festival
Where: English Park, Cranford St
When: Sunday 9 March
Time: 9:00-11:00am
Who: Girls aged 4-12 years old + families and friends.
Cost: FREE
A celebration of girls in football as part of Girls and Women’s Football Month. This event is open to all girls aged 5–12, whether you’ve never kicked a ball before or already love the game.
The festival is all about having fun, making new friends, and enjoying football in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. With games, skills sessions, and giveaways, it’s the perfect way to experience what Fantails is all about and connect with your local football club.

Junior and Milo Fantails Coach Clinic
Where: English Park, Cranford St
When: Sunday 9 March
Time: 11:30am-1:30pm
Who: 13 years +
Cost: FREE
Led by Alana Gunn (NZ Football Women's U17 & U16 Coach), this session is perfect for current Fantails coaches to complete their Junior Level 1 requirement. It’s also a fantastic opportunity for any women and girls interested in starting their coaching journey in a fun and supportive environment.
Whether you’re looking to learn, refresh, or connect with others, this is a great chance to grow your coaching skills and confidence.

Women in Football Connect Event

Who: Women in Football, Administrators, Members of Boards & Committees, Managers, Coaches, Referees, Volunteers
Guest Speaker: Johanna Wood, President of NZ Football
